Welcome to North Oakland Village

Your life ...

Your home ...

Your way ...

Our Purpose

We are a membership-driven and largely volunteer-staffed organization. Our purpose is to build community support, a “village”, with services that can make it easier for seniors to stay in their homes comfortably and for as long as possible. Organized as a non-profit, we are modeled on the grassroots concepts of community and mutual support that characterize a village.

New Office Location for Our Village

Sunday, June 29, 2014 - The "Relocation Committee" has been hard at work searching for a new NOV office location. Finally, we have succeeded and we have a new location at the First Congregational Church of Oakland in a space on their main floor. The atmosphere is welcoming and accepting. The Church is located impressively on the corner of 27th and Harrison on a small "hill," giving it a sense of place and majesty. Take a look at the church's history and the location map.

Our Vision

Our vision is to build a community where all are supported, valued, and thrive as they age. Our mission is to support aging in community in Oakland and Piedmont through programs and services which provide options for independence, engagement, and well-being.
